What do you enjoy about working at WDH? – I enjoy the culture and the team, being able to have a laugh with everyone.                                                                                      

What is your favourite part of the build process? Signing it off, seeing the finished product and happy clients. 

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Being a good position to help those around me. Offering Hand ups, not handouts. 

What are you looking forward to at the moment? The latest builds on Teasdale street wrapping up for hand over. Retiring at 35. Going to Europe in 2023. 

Which job has been your favourite so far? Having a hand in developments, Oliver street, Walmsley Street, Teasdale Street, and starting on Hall Street is a new challenge.

What is something not many people know about you? If I’m not in shoes I’m usually walking on my tippy toes. 

Matthew Wilkins

What do you enjoy about working for WDH? – Good work environment

What is your favourite part of the build process? Frames and Trusses

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Retired?

What are you looking forward to at the moment? Getting to be a Dad.

Which job has been your favourite so far? Waihi, it was an interesting build, different from what we usually do. 

What is something not many people know about you? What I look like without a Moustache. 

Justine James

Sales and Marketing Manager

How long have you been with WDH? - 2 1/2 years

What do you enjoy about working for WDH? - I love that the company is owned and operated by a family who all have a hand in running the business day to day and all the team is part of that family.

What is your favourite part of the build process? Both the excitement of the start of a new build and handing over the keys to clients at the end.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Hopefully somewhere tropical with a table of empty cocktail glasses beside me 

What are you looking forward to at the moment? Tropical island holiday planned for next year.

Which job has been your favourite so far? Thats really hard to choose as I have been very lucky to have so many amazing clients and beautiful homes.

What is something not many people know about you? When I was a teenager, I used to do Marching and I was part of the NZ Rep Team.

Jade Wilson

Office Assistant 

How long have you been with WDH? – 6 years on and off Maternity leave.

What do you enjoy about working for WDH? – The fact all the staff feel like family. 

What is your favourite part of the build process? Getting to see all the products available to clients. The final finished house, seeing visions come to life. 

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Living on a lifestyle block with my Family, Travelling and hopefully another couple kiddies (girls next)

What are you looking forward to at the moment? Summer/Warmer weather. Beach hop and Christmas. 

Which job has been your favourite so far? The Wairere Drive Matamata houses as I was able to do all the interior designing for 4 of the houses. That was fun. 

What is something not many people know about you? I was Miss world Waikato 2014 and Miss Tourism World New Zealand 2015

How long have you been with WDH? – 4 & ½ years

What do you enjoy about working for WDH? – Teamwork, working with good people every day, loving coming to work every day. 

What is your favourite part of the build process? Standing Frames and Building decks

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Own on by own, A bit more experience. Still staying close with WDH. 

What are you looking forward to at the moment? Going to Bali at the end of the year. 

Which job has been your favourite so far? Waihi, different experience from things we don’t usually do. Awesome to work on a two-story house. 

What is something not many people know about you? I can touch my nose with my tongue

Ridge Ennis

Apprentice

How long have you been with WDH? – 3 & ½ Years

What do you enjoy about working for WDH? – Good group of blokes

What is your favourite part of the build process? Finishings, putting in doors and architraves. 

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Right here! But doing Matts job.

What are you looking forward to at the moment? Being Dingo’s Neighbour. Whole driveway of WDH crew. 

Which job has been your favourite so far? Waihi, different kind of build and got to spend a lot of time staying away/team bonding. 

What is something not many people know about you? I’m living with a broken Rib.

How long have you been with WDH? – 1 year

What do you enjoy about working for WDH? – The Vast variety of work means were always learning new skills. The boys are real good to get along with and socialise with. 

What is your favourite part of the build process? Getting to do any kind of Cladding. 

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? A lot more confident with running crews here with WDH and having more responsibilities. Living in TA. 

What are you looking forward to at the moment? Megan and I getting to go on our cruise next year. 

Which job has been your favourite so far? The 3 Teasdale houses. Getting to do Abodo cladding. 

What is something not many people know about you? I did BMX as a child. 

Sean Collinson-Smith

What do you enjoy about working for WDH? –The culture and people. The types of houses we build 

What is your favourite part of the build process? Finishing work, Windows, doors, skirtings.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Qualified. Owning my own home/a couple properties. 

What are you looking forward to at the moment? Summer!! Building in summer. 

Which job has been your favourite so far? KioKio, getting to work in the country side, and a quite commute to work 

What is something not many people know about you? I used to be a bar tender in Melbourne, spent most of my adult like in Aussie… (Hence the name ‘DINGO’)

Billy Hillman

How long have you been with WDH? – 8 Months 

What do you enjoy about working for WDH? – Good crew and different kinds of jobs, always busy.

What is your favourite part of the build process? Learning New things 

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Owning my own business doing landscaping along side building. 

What are you looking forward to at the moment? Getting Qualified and going on Holiday at the end of the year. 

Which job has been your favourite so far? Dick Street, starting back into building it’s been a good job to kick off. 

What is something not many people know about you? Billy’s not my real name 

Cullen Tappin

Apprentice

How long have you been with WDH? – 7 Months

What do you enjoy about working for WDH? – The bonding of the guys, quality of houses and variety of materials we get to use. 

What is your favourite part of the build process? Standing Frames and Trusses

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Still working with WDH, Qualified and further up the ranks. 

What are you looking forward to at the moment? Our own personal home being finished and getting to move in.

Which job has been your favourite so far? Puketutu, I haven’t done any reno work before so was good, something different. 

What is something not many people know about you? You all know everything... I’m an open book.
